About the Gran Fonde

25 years anniversary Event

On the 2 nd September we celebrate the 25 years of building this Masterpiece

The bridge was built to short the distance between Sealand, Fyn and Jutland. On the day 2^nd September we have got the permission from Sund & Bælt to cross the bridge, and up to 10.000 people will use this fantastic possibility.

By enrolling Gran Fondo Storebælt you will get

# Markt Routes and with Race Marshalls all the way to the Finish
# Startnumber with Time label
# Coffe and The before the Start
# Depots all the way
# Catering after the Routes in Nyborg
# Cycle Show at the Finish
# Gran Fondo Cycle jersey and a memory medal at the Finish

You can ride Gran Fondo or Medio Fondo.. There will be startgroups of 300 or 500, depends on how many riders.

As mentioned the bridge opens up at 16,00, and we can ride over until 19,30.

Marshalls will be all the way until the finish, and the route will be clearly markt. TAKE CARE of other traffic, we are riding an EVENT where other Traffic will be there. Special on the bridge you got to take care and follow the rules.

AERO handlebar is not permitted,

El Bikes are welcome

TANDEM´s are welcome

Your must wear Crash Helmet

Rules of Traffic must be followed

We will have a CAR following the last riders

Personal dates

Start number is a personal thing, and you have to give correct informations. You can handle over your number, look at Sportstiming FAQ

We can show your name, club, company, nationality, birtyear on numbers, start and resultlists. We will keep your informations in a secure system. Emails and phonenumbers

are used to send info´s to you. Participants accepts this.

Use of Pictures and Media remarks

We can use Photos, films, Interviews and other Media`s where partcipants are named. All such things is ket in secure conditions and will not be used as marketing and commercial use.

Startnumbers

Startnumbers will not be send. You will have your numbers etc., when you show up.

When you show up, please have the email yiou have received when you signed in.

Year for taking part

You must be 16 years for taking part in both events

Transport

It is up to you to travel to the Event. We have offered transport of you, your luggage, your bike against payment to Herlev and Korsør.

Traffic

You must follow Danish Traffic rules. This means also that you MUST STOP for Red Traffic ligths.

You must NOT stop on the bridge to take photos etc. If you you have mechanical problems it must be fixed at once.

Arrange Commite and Police can take you out of the events if you do not follow those rules.

Bikes etc.

All participants MUST wear Crash Helmet

Triathlonbikes, Aero handlebar, Disc wheels are NOT permitted in both events,

Following Cars are not permitted, especially over the bridge

Health

You must be in good conditions to take part in Gran Fondo Storebælt.

Responsobility

All partcipants confirm that they take part on own responsobility, and arranging commitees, partners or sponsors can not be hold as persons, if partcipants have unluck, crashes or make other bad things, included hospitals stays.

Damages on partcipants and robery of bikes etc. can not be Arranging Comitees problem. It is your own responsibility

Cancellation and Force Majeure

If Gran Fondo Storebælt on the day before is cancelled, due to Corona restrictions or other Force Majeure conditions, will participants be offered refusion of the Start Fee, due to these costs until the date, the arranging comitee have had.

If Gran Fondo Storebælt is cancelled on the day, 2^nd September, due to bad weather conditions, or other cases, such as Authorites Order, Terror, Accidents or other Force Majeure conditions, the Start Fee will NOT be repaid

In the mentioned cases will administrations fee not be repaid, and Arranging Comitee is not responsible for the losses partcipants have had.
